Sigma Pi

Sigma Pi was established as Tau Phi Delta at Vincennes University in Indiana in 1897. The flag shown on the fraternity's website is dark blue with a swallowtail, the Greek letters of the name in the center in white, and ten yellow stars arranged 1-2-3-4 in the upper hoist. Baird's Manual describes a different flag, lavender with the letters sigma and pi and the fraternity coat of arms.
Joe McMillan, 17 March 2001

Based on the flag is lavender in color, not in blue. According to (slide 9), "The colors of the Fraternity are lavender and white with gold as an auxiliary. Purple is used because lavender is not a heraldic color."
