"Our current flag was presented to the City of Midland in February 1968 by local Girl Scout Troop 313. It features a cream-colored background. The City Seal is prominently displayed in the center of the flag, in gold and navy blue. In addition to the official role the City Seal serves, it also served as part of the City logo from approximately 1946 to 1996, when a new logo was created for the municipality.
The City Seal features an artistic skyline that depicts the rich history of our community, which is home to two internationally-known chemical companies, The Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning Corporation." Information and image of the flag thanks to Libby Richart, Communications Coordinator.
