Municipal flag of Kostanjevica na Krki

The flag and arms of Kostanjevica na Krki are prescribed by Decision Odlok o grbu, zastavi in žigih Občine Kostanjevica na Krki, adopted on 8 November 2007 and published on 23 November 2007 in the official Slovene gazette Uradni list Republike Slovenije, 107/2007.
The Decision prescribes the flag as follows:

The flag of the municipality of Kostanjevica na Krki is defined as follows. In the flag of the municipality of Kostanjevica na Krki is the tricolor seal on a white field. In the integral design the proportions between the height and width of the flag are determined, as 1:2 and 1:3, while the proportions between the flag and the symbol are 1:3, just as it is determined the orientation in the middle of the white field. If the flag is hoisted by attaching to the longer edge (vertical shape), the coat of arms is rotated for 90 degrees, so it is readable in the horizontal shape.

The flag is therefore white with the municipal seal in the middle but the description is too ambiguous to reconstruct an image of the flag.

Coat of arms of Kostanjevica na Krki

The Decision prescribed the coat of arls as follows:

The coat of arms of the municipality of Kostanjevica na Krki is designed in circular shape, developed from Plečnik's [a famous Slovene architect] design and adapted to the need of the new municipality. The central motive is adapted for a medieval coat of arms with the year of establishment of the civic rights and the establishment of the new Muniicpality of Kostanjevica na Krki 1252-2006. The circular emblem leads the inscription as it is shown in the graphical proposal for monocoloured and two-coloured implementation in the produced integral design. It is written in Makalonca, the typographic font developed by Lucian Bratuš, academic painter, calligrapher and typographer, from Plečnik's inscriptions. The coat of arms design is made in accordance to Plečnik's solution, who took for the base red and white colours, that were the colours of the family of Spanheim, founders of the area of the current municipality and shapers of its historical picture.
The colour shades are defined by CMYK scale as:
- Red: 0-94-84-0.
