This kommune website presents the arms and flag of Huddinge, a town in Stockholm county (Sweden):
The name Huddinge is believed to originate from "uddingarna", the first inhabitants of Huddinge who lived in Vårby on a headland, an "udde", on the shores of Lake Mälaren during the times of the Vikings. Their community was threatened by many dangers and enemies often came in boats. They lit huge fires on hilltops - beacons - as a signal warning others of the approach of enemies. A whole sequence of beacons could be seen from Vårby far into the Lake Mälaren area. The beacon lives on as the symbol for Huddinge on the municipal coat of arms.
The flag is a square banner of arms.
