It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain red field.
The arms are Or a square Sable and a lozenge Sable set in fess, in central chief a millstone Gules, in base a triplemount Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading "SAZES DO LORVÃO" in black upper case letters.

Sazes do Lorvão is one of the eight communes of Penacova Municipality covering 17,83 km². It had 749 inhabitants in 2011.
