The arms are Argent two mounds Vert between two grindwheels Sable and issuant from a base wavy Argent charged with a fess Argent and in chief a scales Gules held by a flame blade sword Azure turned upwards. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "MORREIRA - BRAGA".
"Morreira" can be interpreted to mean "hill country" (from "morro", "hill") and thus the arms are canting. SWord and scales are an attribute of St. Michael.

Presentation of Morreira

Morreira Commune was one of the 62(!) pre-2013 communes of Braga Municipality (q.v.); it had 769 inhabitants in 2001 and covered 3,52 km².
