The above site also explain that the municipality wanted an animal in its arms, to represent its wildlife, but there was no special reason why they chose lyns among other possibilities, other then it is one of animals appearing in the municipal fauna. explains:  The arms a head of a lynx, symbol for the rich nature in the area.
