The Flag

The flags of town of Haebaru are purple (probably older) and maroon with mark.
Tomislav Šipek, 23 April 2013

The town emblem was adopted on Apr 18th 1965 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center and the kanji name in white vertically at the hoist. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana は Ha of Haebaru in a flying bird. The cap of waves symbolizes River Kokuba. It represents the town’s peace, reconciliation, solidarity, cooperation, the industrial culture's surge and extension.
